Club Information
Todd Heiman welcomed the Club in the pavilion at Whiteside Park and reminded us all that most of our information and communications will now be handled via the ClubRunner software and members are expected to login and review the features there. There are several members who can provide assistance, if needed.
Calendar information on events and meetings will be on the calendar feature in ClubRunner.
Auction packets for members to solicit donations from businesses are being handed out, as well as the packets of raffle tickets for members to sell for the cash raffle.
We discussed the need for auction items to be submitted quickly, especially if we want to include some of them on the online auction site. We discussed the pricing for the online and buy-it-now feature, if we want to do that.
Guest for Today:
Our guest for today is not a guest, but our ten-year member, Al Nap who has been working in Virginia since Mike Motors shut down, and now he and Sandy have made the decision to move to Baxter, MN to be two hours from one daughter in Fargo and two hours from the airport to fly to visit the other in Phoenix.
Al was lauded for his willingness to help whenever asked and his assistance to so many members with their automotive issues who shared their stories. Al epitomized the motto "service above self" as one of our dedicated members. When he was working in Ely he could be counted on for our lunch meetings and his willingness to help. He will be missed by the community and our Rotary Club, in particular.
Goodby for now.
